Derek Woodman For Gun-Grabber Sheriff

Derek Woodman was Undersheriff to Sheriff Minor when in 2011, Sheriff John Minor persuaded Summit county board of county commissioners to create a gun ban on county-owned property. Derek Woodman failed to act to stop John Minor's violation of the second amendment.

This is the Summit Daily News article from September 13 2011 which describes Sheriff John Minor's gun ban:

Derek Woodman, who can't be trusted to uphold the second amendment, is now running for Sheriff so Derek Woodman can be a big-government Republican gun-grabber.

McCain Advocates For East-German Spy Powers

While there was early arm-waving and lying by major news media about supposed communication channels which may have been used before the Paris murders, the facts are showing the criminals used common plain-text messaging (known as "SMS" outside the USA).

In the wake of the Paris murders, John McCain is advocating for additional spy powers for the American government. There are a couple fundamental problems with encryption with back doors: 1) criminals can't be forced to use it as they can make their own encryption and 2) back doors will be found and exploited by foreign adversaries and even criminals.

John McCain is an enemy of liberty and the Constitution which he swore an oath to uphold and protect.

Eric Buck is a Socialist

Republican candidate for Colorado Governor, Bob Beauprez, recently said he will work to repeal the voter-approved recreational marijuana regulatory scheme.  The voters passed this initiative and there have been very few problems legalizing and regulating a consensual adult choice.  Bob Beauprez doesn't care about choice and will remove the voter-approved ballot initiative and recriminalize possession of marijuana.  Bob Beauprez is out of touch with liberty, with Colorado voters, and he is another old angry white Republican failed candidate.

Following in Bob Beauprez's footsteps, vice-chair of the Summit county Republican party and recent loser for a spot on Breckenridge's town council, Eric C. Buck has taken a stand against marijuana and against the will of the voters.
In fact, Eric Buck hilariously wrote that town council should ignore the will of the voters!  From Eric's letter to the editor: "Instead of taking a stand in the best interest of Breckenridge, council has decided (kind of) to defer to the whim of the voting public."
In the real world (outside of elitist Republicans), voters can do what they want within the bounds of property rights and the Constitution.  Eric Buck thinks he knows better than Breckenridge voters (who decriminalized marijuana possession years before it was done at the State level) and thinks Socialistic dictates should be handed down.

Bob Beauprez and Eric Buck are Republican party insiders who are desperately flailing to keep control of their shrinking base of supporters.

Eric Buck claims to sell real estate for a living, yet doesn't respect property rights.  Eric's letter to the editor goes on to suggest ignoring property rights and, "Ban any shops on Main Street ...".

Will Sheriff Minor's Gun Ban Signs Keep Us Safe?

When Sheriff Minor supported the county gun ban, his reasoning was that a few people wanted it.  Apparently some people are scared of guns, and they think a sign will prevent criminals from carrying guns.  Sheriff Minor could have stood behind his oath of office to support and defend the constitution, but he caved in.  The part about "shall not be infringed" was ignored by Sheriff Minor.

The Summit county gun ban is being implemented.  These pictures are from the Summit county medical center.  The gun ban sign is not obvious, and after a stairwell.  But that's okay in Sheriff John Minor's land of make-believe in which signs stop bullets.

Frisco Corporatism

Frisco sells discounted land to Whole Foods developer
... the council voted 4-2 to move forward with the land sale...
The purchase agreement between the town of Frisco and Brynn Grey partners allows the developers to buy the 9.4-acre parcel for $4.5 million. It includes a deed of trust and a subordination agreement under which the town agrees to subordinate up to $5.4 million for infrastructure improvements. The agreement also allows the town to take over payments should the developer default on its loan.
The “Interstate Parcel” property sale includes a promissory note from the developer with a term of 20 years. The note has an annual interest rate of 2.25 percent, with no principle or interest payment required for the first 10 years. If the developer constructs the five buildings by June 3, 2018, the interest rate will drop to 1.75 percent. The contract includes a “personal guarantee” by the developer for the first three years of ownership.
The developer is not required to make payments on the property until June 3, 2024.
“I have been in business and done commercial developments and own a number of properties, and I have never heard or seen anything like this business deal,” said Frisco resident Lou Wagner.
“The idea of not getting any principal payments for that period of time and the lack of security beyond three years, all of those things just go against everything I know about sound business deals,” he said.
Kim Cancelosi voted yes on the sale.
Mayor Gary Wilkinson voted yes on the sale.
One council member was absent.

Who still believes there is a meaningful difference between the Republicans and the Democrats?

Morgan Liddick Forgets About Big-Government Lincoln

In the August 6 2013 Summit Daily News, Morgan Liddick starts with, "Why should there be states? The answer isn’t as simple as one might imagine."  Playing to his big-government readers, Morgan writes about federalism and the progressive takeover of state privileges, "This began with the 17th Amendment and accelerated under Presidents Roosevelt, Johnson and Nixon, reaching a culmination with the current resident of the White House, who shows real enthusiasm for using the federal apparatus against states which challenge his authority."

Unfortunately, Morgan forgot about the celebrated Republican President who started the big-government grab in the 1860s.  President Lincoln suspended constitutionally protect rights in order to force southern states to collect the increased federal import tariffs.
Along with a declaring martial law, President Abraham Lincoln ordered the suspension of the constitutionally protected right to writs of habeas corpus in 1861 ...
Before Morgan Liddick celebrates Lincoln during the GOP's next Lincoln Day Dinner, he may want to learn about Lincoln's tyranny in The Real Lincoln, by Thomas DiLorenzo.

McCain Reaffirms Big Government

This bill would have made it clear that states could regulate product ingredient labeling.  John McCain voted against the bill, showing he believes the federal government should be in charge of everything.  This is another example of McCain acting like big government Obama.

Which so-called Republicans voted for a McCain presidency?  It would have been about the same as the Obama presidency - continuing Guantanamo Bay indefinite detention, more wars, more big government.

GMO Labeling Bill Voted Down In Senate
The United States Senate decided again Thursday that it simply does not want to let states tell people whether or not they are eating genetically modified food.

The Senate voted overwhelmingly -- 71 to 27 -- against an amendment to the sweeping farm bill, squashing a measure that would not have required labeling of genetically modified organisms, but merely would have let states decide if they wanted to require such labeling.

The votes are here.
